On space-time carrying a total hyperbolic skew symmetric Killing vector field (Q5959628)

This paper deals with a general space-time \(M\) carrying a totally hyperbolic skew symmetric Killing vector field \(X\). Among others, it is shown that (i) \(M\) is the local Riemannian product \(M=M_h \times M_s\), where \(M_h\) is a hyperbolic surface and \(M_s\) a spatial surface, such that the corresponding immersions \(x_h:M_h \to M\) and \(x_s:M_s \to M\) are totally pseudo-isotropic and totally geodesic, respectively; and (ii) if \(X\) has a spatial generative vector field \(Y\) which is structured by an exterior recurrent complex \(C^3\)-basis, then the almost symplectic forms \(\Omega_i\), \(i=1,2\), associated with this basis, are symplectic if and only if the corresponding scalars \(\lambda_i\) associated with \(\Omega_i\) are conformal to \(\|X\|^2\).
