Spectral triples on proper étale groupoids (Q5963565)

This paper is a step towards a unification of Lie groupoid theory and noncommutative spectral geometry. The author concentrates on the proper etale Lie groupoids. Stifle Whitney classes in Lie groupoid cohomology are introduced. An invariant spinor bundle and an invariant Dirac operator are constructed. The author then reformulates the algebraic orientation so that the new orientation captures the geometric orientation of a Lie groupoid. An extension for the spectral geometric model is also developed.
