One aim of the theory of Leavitt path algebras is to find appropriate graphs whose Leavitt path algebras can be described. This paper works with generalized Cayley graphs \(C^j_n\) of cyclic groups \(\mathbb Z_n\), \(n\) is a positive integer. Namely, for each \(0\leq j\leq n-1\) the generalized Cayley graph \(C^j_n\) is the directed graph consisting of \(n\) vertices \(\{v_1,\ldots,v_n\}\) and \(2n\) edges \(\{e_1,\ldots,e_n,f_1,\ldots,f_n\}\) for which \(e_i\) starts at \(v_i\) ending at \(v_{i+1}\) and \(f_i\) starts at \(v_i\) ending at \(v_{i+j}\), where subscripts are interpreted mod \(n\). The authors compute the size of the Grothendieck group of the Leavitt path algebra \(L_K(C^j_n)\) for each pair \((n,j)\) and arbitrary coefficient field \(K\). Additional information about these Grothendieck groups is obtained in the case of small \(j\), namely when \(j\in\{0,1,2\}\), allowing the authors to realize explicitly the corresponding Leavitt path algebras.
