This note considers the interpolation problem for real polynomials by their mean value between pairs of consecutive zeros. The existence and uniqueness of the mean value interpolation polynomial is reduced to the nonvanishing of a certain Cauchy type determinant. Several conjectures are stated and supported by numerical calculations.
