    Let \(X\) be a set endowed with a quasimetric \(d\) and a~non-negative Borel measure \(\mu\) satisfying the doubling condition. Denote by \((X,d,\mu)\) the corresponding space of homogeneous type. If \(x\in X\) and \(r>0\), put \(B(x,r)=\{x\in X\: d(x,y)<r\}\). Take \(\alpha>0\) and define the fractional integral operator \(I_{\alpha}\) of order \(\alpha\) by \[ (I_{\alpha} f)(x) = \int_X f(y)\,d(x,y)^{\alpha}/\mu (B(x,d(x,y)))\,d\mu(y), \;f\in L^{\infty}_c (\mu) \] (\(f\) bounded with a bounded support). The aim of the paper is to prove that \(I_{\alpha}\) satisfies the two weighted, weak type \((p,q)\) estimate \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} u \{x\in X\: | I_{\alpha} f(x)| >\lambda\}^{1/q} \leq C \Big(\int_X | f(x)| ^p v(x)\,d\mu(x)\Big)^{1/p}, \] \(1<p \leq q <\infty\), provided that there exist \(r>1\) and a constant \(C=C_{u,v}\in (0,\infty)\) such that \[ r(B)^{\alpha}\mu (B)^{1/q-1/p} \Big(\frac1{\mu(B)}\int_B u(x)^r d\mu(x)\Big)^{1/(rq)} \Big(\frac1{\mu(B)} \int_B v(x)^{1-p'} d\mu(x)\Big)^{1/p'} \leq C \] for all balls \(B\subset X\), where \(r(B)\) is the radius of \(B\) and \(p'=p/(p-1)\). An analogous result is also proved for more general potential operators.
