Oscillation of nonlinear delay difference equations (Q5970185)

The author studies the following nonlinear delay difference equations of the form \[ x_{n+1}-x_n+p_n\prod_{j=1}^mx_{n-k_j}^{\alpha_j}=0,\tag{1} \] where \(p_n\geq 0\), \(n=1,2,\dots\), \(0\leq k_1\leq k_2\leq \cdots\leq k_m\) are integers, \(\alpha_i\geq 0\) are rational numbers with denominator of positive odd integers for each \(j=1,2,\dots,m\) and \(\sum_{j=1}^m\alpha_j=1\). A new explicit sufficient condition for oscillation of all solutions of (1) is obtained. This result generalizes that of \textit{X. H. Tang} and \textit{J. S. Yu} [Comput. Math. Appl. 38, No. 11-12, 229-237 (1999; Zbl 0976.39005)].
