The authors investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of a \(p\)-th order linear difference equation in a Banach space and with constant coefficients. They discuss the necessity of certain assumptions used in their previously published result concerning the stability and uniqueness of solutions. This paper will be useful for researchers interested in the stability and asymptotic behavior of solutions of difference equations (not only in a Banach space).
