Given an asymptotically flat manifold of dimension \(3\leq n\leq 24\), the authors show that a solution of the Yamabe equation must converge at infinity to a multiple of \(|x|^{2-n}\) or to a Fowler solution (a radial singular solution to \(\Delta u=-n(n-2)u^{(n+2)/(n-2)}\) on \(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}\)). The same result holds in dimensions \(n\geq 25\) under the additional assumption that \(u\) is bounded at infinity. This is the content of Theorems~1.1 and~1.2. To prove these results, the authors use an inversion to transform the problem into one that is supported on the punctured ball \(B_1\setminus\{0\}\), then they study the singularity of the solution at the origin (Theorems~1.3 and~1.4). This study of solutions on \(B_1\setminus\{0\}\) generalizes known results such as [\textit{L. A. Caffarelli} et al., Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 42, No. 3, 271--297 (1989; Zbl 0702.35085); \textit{N. Korevaar} et al., Invent. Math. 135, No. 2, 233--272 (1999; Zbl 0958.53032)].
