Let \(G\) be a group with a normal subgroup \(N\). Recall that \((G,N)\) is called a \textit{Camina pair} if for every \(x \notin N\), the conjugacy class of \(x\) contains the coset \(xN\). A group is called \textit{semicomplete} if any automorphism of \(G\) fixing \(G/G'\) elementwise is inner. In this paper, the following result is proven: Theorem. Let \(p\) be an odd prime and let \(G\) be a finite \(p\)-group such that \((G, Z(G))\) is a Camina pair. Then G is semicomplete if and only if \(G\) is an extraspecial \(p\)-group or \(G'\) is cyclic and the nilpotency class of \(G\) is greater than \(2\). The same result is also proven for \(p=2\) under an extra assumption which is too technical to report here.
