The authors examine a necessary condition for two \(G\)-invariant metrics on a full flag manifold \(M=G/T\) to be isometric. This is useful in various instances, for example to check two invariant Einstein metrics are isometric or not. The main theorem states that if two \(G\)-invariant metrics \(g_1, g_2\) satisfy \[g_1(X, Y)= g_2(\rho (\omega)X, \rho(\omega)Y)\] for all \(X, Y\in\mathfrak{m}\cong T_oM\) and \(\omega\in W\), where \(W\) is the Weyl group of the complexified Lie algebra of \(G\) and \(\rho: W\to\mathrm{End}(\mathfrak{m})\) is the natural representation of \(W\) induced by its action on the roots of \(\mathrm{Lie}(G)\), then \(g_1, g_2\) are isometric. This result has been used several times in the past (e.g., in [\textit{A. Arvanitoyeorgos} and \textit{I. Chrysikos}, Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 37, No. 2, 185--219 (2010; Zbl 1193.53111); \textit{A. A 40, No. 3, 259--286 (2019; Zbl 1449.53044); \textit{A. Arvanitoyeorgos} et al., Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 141, No. 7, 2485--2499 (2013; Zbl 1272.53035)]). The authors give a detailed proof here.
