A Riemannian manifold \((M, g)\) is called Einstein if the Ricci tensor \(\text{Ric}_g\) is a constant multiple of the metric \(g\). It is a fundamental problem in Riemannian geometry to classify Einstein metrics. In the general case this problem seems to be intractable. However, in the homogeneous case important progress has been made. The present paper is a continuation of the previous work on homogeneous Einstein metrics of the authors. In this interesting paper under review, the authors determine all invariant Einstein metrics on flag manifolds with four isotropy summands. They first use the method of \({\mathfrak t}\)-roots to give a classification of these homogeneous manifolds and then find all invariant Einstein metris on them. Besides the main results, there is a comprehensive survey on invariant Einstein metrics on flag manifolds.
