Conic-line arrangements in the complex projective plane (Q6045787)

The paper is concerned with the study of conic-line arrangements with ordinary singularities in the complex projective plane, thus generalizing the classical case of line arrangements. The authors consider various questions motivated by the analogous questions for line arrangements: freeness of the arrangement, inequalities for the number of singularities, local negativity, inequalities between log Chern numbers. In each case they give some partial answers. The paper also contains various well explained examples and surveys the literature on the subject of arrangements, therefore it can be a nice starting to approach the subject.
