Let \(\mathbb Z_2\) denote the discrete cyclic group of order 2, where the group operation is the modulo 2 addition and the topology is the discrete topology. The normalized Haar measure \(\mu\) on \(\mathbb Z_2\) is given in the way that \(\mu \left (\{ 0\}\right ) =\mu \left (\{ 1\} \right ) = \frac{1}{2}\). Let \(G=\bigtimes\limits_{k=0}^{\infty} \mathbb Z_2\), which is called the Walsh group. The elements of the Walsh group \(G\) are sequences of numbers 0 and 1, that is \(x = (x_0, x_1,\dots , x_k, \dots)\) with coordinates \(x_k \in \{0, 1\}\). In this work, the author studies the rate of the approximation by the matrix transform mean of Walsh--Fourier series in Lebesgue space \(L_p(G)\) \((1\leq p\leq \infty)\).
