This paper deals with generalizations of a certain quantitative result such that is related to the Khintchine-Groshev theorem for the case of \(S\)-arithmetic spaces. Let us note author's abstract: ``\textit{W. Schmidt} [Can. J. Math. 12, 619--631 (1960; Zbl 0097.26205)] studied a quantitative type of Khintchine-Groshev theorem for general (higher) dimensions. Recently, a new proof of the theorem was found, which made it possible to relax the dimensional constraint and more generally, to add on the congruence condition [\textit{M. Alam} et al., J. Théor. Nombres Bordx. 33, No. 1, 261--271 (2021; Zbl 1472.11210)]. In this paper, we generalize this new approach to \(S\)-arithmetic spaces and obtain a quantitative version of an \(S\)-arithmetic Khintchine-Groshev theorem. During the process, we consider a new, but still natural \(S\)-arithmetic analog of Diophantine approximation, which is different from the one formerly established (see [\textit{D. Kleinbock} and \textit{G. Tomanov}, Comment. Math. Helv. 82, No. 3, 519--581 (2007; Zbl 1135.11037)]) Hence for the sake of completeness, we also deal with the convergent case of the Khintchine-Groshev theorem, based on this new generalization.'' In the survey of this research, special attention is given to the Dirichlet's approximation theorem and the Khintchine-Groshev theorem, as well as to related results and explanations of useful notions. For example, such notions as \(S\)-arithmetic space, the set of rationals, and the ring of \(S\)-integers, etc. are considered. All statements are proven with explanations. Finally, few open problems are given.
