Let \(A\) be a ring with unit, \(_{A}T\) be a good \(n\)-tilting module over \(A\) and \(B=\mathrm{End}_A (T)\) the endomorphism ring of \(_{A}T\). Then we have the following recollement \[ \begin{tikzcd} [column sep = huge] \mathrm{Ker}(G)\ar[r] &\mathcal{D}(B)\ar[r, "{G=_{A}T\otimes_B^{\mathbb{L}}-}"] \ar[l, bend left] \ar[l, bend right] &\mathcal{D}(A)\ar[l, "{H=\mathbb{R}\mathrm{Hom}_{A}(T,-)}", bend left] \ar[l, bend right] . \end{tikzcd} \] [S. Bazzoni, F. Mantese, A. Tonolo, Proc. Am. Math. Soc 139 No 12(2011; Zbl 1232.16004)] and [H. X. Chen, C. C. Xi, J. Math. Soc. Japan 71 No 2(2019; Zbl 1433.18007)]. The main theorem of the paper under review is to realise \(\mathrm{Ker}(G)\) as the derived category of a symmetric subcategory. In fact, let \(\mathcal{E}:=\{X\in B\text{-Mod}\mid G(X)=0\}\), the authors show that \(\mathcal{E}\) is a symmetric subcategory of \(B\)-Mod and the canonical inclusion \(i:\mathcal{E}\to B\)-Mod induces a triangle equivalence \(D(i): D(\mathcal{E})\to \mathrm{Ker}G\). Where \(D(\mathcal{E})\) is the derived category of \(\mathcal{E}\) as exact category. The authors also give explicit descriptions of symmetric subcategories associated to good 2-tilting modules over commutative Gorenstein local rings.
