The Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra \(\text{HVir}\) is the universal central extension of the Lie algebra of differential operators of order at most one. S. Li, J. Zhu, and X. Guo constructed and investigated two classes of modules over \(\text{HVir}\) from Weyl algebra modules, parallel to the similar construction for the Virasoro algebra. That is, given any module \(P\) over the degree-\(1\) Weyl algebra, define the \(\text{HVir}\)-modules \(\mathcal{M}(P, V)\), where \(V\) is a restricted module over the nonnegative part \(\mathfrak{a}\) of \(\text{HVir}\), and \(\mathcal{L}(P, W, \xi, b, c)\), where \(W\) is a restricted module over another subalgebra \(\mathfrak{b}\subseteq \text{HVir}\) and \(\xi, b, c \in \mathbb{C}\) with \(\xi \not= 0\). The authors determine the irreducibility of these modules as well as the isomorphisms within each class. Furthermore, any two such modules from different classes are never isomorphic although they might be closely related.
