The author studies \(m\)-dimensional mean curvature flow self-shrinkers, which are proper immersions \(F:M^m\to \mathbb{R}^{n+m}\) satisfying \[ H(p)=-\frac{1}{2}F(p)^{\perp}\tag{1} \] for its mean curvature vector \(H(p)\). \textit{L. Wang} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 27, No. 3, 613--638 (2014; Zbl 1298.53069)] proved the uniqueness of properly embedded self-shrinkers of codimension \(1\) and with asymptotically conic ends. In this paper, the author extends the result of Wang to higher codimension self-shrinkers which are properly immersed and locally smooth asymptotic to a given \(m\)-dimensional immersed cone \(\mathcal{C}\). More precisely, the author shows that if \(F\) and \(\tilde{F}\) are two properly immersed self-shrinkers outside a ball and are smoothly asymptotic to the same cone \(\mathcal{C}\), then they can be reparametrized to converge to \(\mathcal{C}\) with unit multiplicity and are the same self-shrinker up to reparametrization. The proof of the result is based on a similar idea as in the embedded codimension \(1\) case. Instead of using the parabolic backwards uniqueness as in \textit{L. Wang} [loc. cit.], the author modifies some arguments in [\textit{J. Bernstein}, Am. J. Math. 142, No. 6, 1897--1929 (2020; Zbl 1458.53093)] for the elliptic proof of Wang's result. The author also applies this idea to obtain a similar result on the uniqueness of asymptotically conic self-expanders under a decay rate assumption.
