Let \(f\) be a real-valued additive arithmetic function satisfying the following requirements: (i) For primes \(p\), \(f(p)=\lambda_1 p^r\) with \(\lambda_1\ge 0\) and \(r\in\mathbb{N}_0=\{0,1,2,\ldots\}\). (ii) There exists a function \(g_l:\{2,3,\ldots\}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) such that \(|g_l(\alpha)|\le C_l\alpha^l\) and \[ f\big(p^\alpha\big)-f\big(p^{\alpha-1}\big)=\lambda_2p^s\,g_l(\alpha) \] for all primes \(p\) and all degrees \(\alpha\ge 2\), where \(C_l\ge 0\), \(\lambda_2\ge 0\), \(l\in\mathbb{N}_0\), \(s\in\mathbb{N}_0\). The authors of the present paper derive a series of asymptotic results for sums of of the form \[ \sum_{n_1,\ldots,n_k\le x}f\big((n_1,\ldots,n_k)\big), \] where function \(f\) satisfies the above requirements. Both the main and residual terms in the resulting formulas depend on the parameters \(r,s,l, \lambda_1,\lambda_2\) defining the properties of the function \(f\). Some new results are also obtained on series related to the Riemann zeta function and on sums of certain fractional parts.
