The paper starts with a brief introduction to Camassa-Holm (CH) equations and to results found for orbital stability of peakons and multi-peakons. It is also mentioned that there are further results for other Camassa-Holm type equations. Main aim of the paper is to consider the generalized modified CH equation \[ m_t+((u^2-u_x^2)^n m)_x=0,\quad m=u-u_{xx}, \] where \(n\geq 1\) is a positive integer, and to discuss orbital stability of multi-peakons. In the literature, there are results for \(n=1, 3\) but not for general \(n\). This paper generalizes that for any \(n\), multi-peakons would be orbitally stable. For this purpose, the authors recall local well-posedness results and conserved quantities for the corresponding equation.
