Let \(w^2(\mathbb{K})\), \(w(\mathbb{R}^{>0})\), \(c^2(\mathbb{K})\) and \(\ell_{\infty}^2(\mathbb{K})\) denote the set of all double sequences, the set of all single sequences of positive real numbers, the set of all P-convergent (convergent in Pringsheim's sense) double sequences and the set of all bounded double sequences, respectively. The weighted mean of \((u_{mn})\) determined by the sequences of weights \((p_m)\) and \((q_n)\) is defined by \(\displaystyle{\sigma_{mn}^{11}:=\frac{1}{P_mQ_n}\sum_{i=0}^m\sum_{j=0}^{n}p_iq_ju_{ij}}\) for all \((m,n)\in \mathbb{N}\times \mathbb{N}\) and \(P_mQ_n>0.\) Also a double sequence \((u_{mn})\) is called \((\overline{N},p,q)\) summmable to \(\ell\) if P-\(\lim \sigma_{mn}^{11}=\ell.\) Let \(u=(u_{mn})\in w^2(\mathbb{K})\) and \((p_m),(q_n)\in w(\mathbb{R}^{>0})\) such that \[ P_m:=\sum_{i=0}^mp_i\to \infty, \ \ Q_n:=\sum_{j=0}^nq_j\to \infty, \quad m,n \to \infty. \tag{\(\ast\)} \] If \((u_{mn})\in c^2(\mathbb{K})\cap \ell_{\infty}^2(\mathbb{K})\), then it is also \((\overline{N},p,q)\) summable to the same number under condition \((\ast)\). However the converse implication is not always true. In this work, the authors investigate some Tauberian conditions to obtain P-convergence from \((\overline{N},p,q)\) convergence of a double sequences with the help of some additional conditions on \((p_m)\) and \((q_n)\). In Theorem~4.1, Theorem~4.2 and their analogues for double sequences of complex numbers Thereom~4.3 and Theorem~4.4, they prove that P-convergence follows from the \((\overline{N},p,q)\) convergence under conditions of slow decrease and slow oscillation of the weighted generator sequence \((V_{mn}^{11^{(0)}}(\Delta_{11}u))\) which is defined by \[ V_{mn}^{11^{(0)}}(\Delta_{11}u):=V_{mn}^{10^{(0)}}(\Delta_{10}u)+V_{mn}^{01^{(0)}}(\Delta_{01}u)-\frac{1}{P_m Q_n}\sum_{i=1}^m\sum_{j=1}^{n}P_{i-1}Q_{j-1}\Delta_{11}u_{ij}, \] where \begin{align*} V_{mn}^{10^{(0)}}(\Delta_{10}u) & :=\frac{1}{P_m}\sum_{i=1}^mP_{i-1}\Delta_{10}u_{in}, \\ V_{mn}^{01^{(0)}}(\Delta_{01}u) & :=\frac{1}{Q_n}\sum_{j=1}^nQ_{j-1}\Delta_{01}u_{mj}, \\ \Delta_{11}u_{mn} & :=u_{mn}-u_{m,n-1}-u_{m-1,n}+u_{m-1,n-1},\\ \Delta_{10}u_{mn} & :=u_{mn}-u_{m-1,n},\\ \Delta_{01}u_{mn} & :=u_{mn}-u_{m,n-1}. \end{align*} In Theorem 4.5 they obtain P-convergence from the \((\overline{N},p,q)\) summability by conditions on the weighted de la Vallée Poussin means of \((u_{mn})\) which are defined by \[ \tau_{mn}^{\mu\eta}(u):=\frac{1}{(P_{\mu}-P_m)(Q_{\eta}-Q_n)}\sum_{i=m+1}^{\mu}\sum_{j=n+1}^{\eta}p_{i}q_{j}u_{ij} \] for \(\mu>m\), \(\eta>n\) and \[ \tau^{mn}_{\mu\eta}(u):=\frac{1}{(P_m-P_{\mu})(Q_n-Q_{\eta})}\sum_{i=\mu+1}^{m}\sum_{j=\eta+1}^{n}p_{i}q_{j}u_{ij} \] for \(\mu<m\), \(\eta<n\).
