The article deals with the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions to the Cantilever-type boundary value problem below: \[ \begin{cases} u^{(4)}(t) = f (t, u(t), u(\alpha t)) + g(t, u(t)), 0<t<1,\\ u(0)=u'(0)=u''(0)=u'''(1)=0, \end{cases} \] where \(\alpha\in (0,1)\) is a constant and \(f\) and \(g\) are nonnegative, continuous functions of their respectful arguments. The main tools used in the proofs of the main results, i.e. Theorems 2 and 3, are fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators due to Chengbo Zhai and Mengru Hao in 2011.
