The paper under review contains several results related to the squeezing function. In Theorem 1.1, the squeezing function is used to detect when a given bounded pseudoconvex domain is not biholomorphic to any product domain. In Theorem 1.3, the squeezing constant for any bounded symmetric domain is given. In Theorem 1.5, the optimal estimates for the squeezing function for a collection of domains that are associated with the bounded symmetric domains are given. In Theorem 1.6, it is shown that a bounded, starlike weakly linearly convex domain is holomorphic homogeneous regular. It should be pointed out that Theorem 1.3 was already proven in a unified way some forty years ago in [\textit{M. Rigoli} and \textit{G. Travaglini}, Lect. Notes Math. 992, 387--390 (1983; Zbl 0552.32020)].
