Hyperbent functions from hyperovals (Q6086200)

The paper under review is organized as follows. In Section 2, the authors recall preliminary results about polar presentation of hyperovals and Kloosterman sums. In Section 3, they consider the connection between Klososterman sums and suitable \(g\)-functions, from translations, Subiaco and Adelaide hyperovals. In Section 4, the authors describe a construction of hyperbent functions using suitable \(g\)-functions. Examples of hyperbent functions from the authors construction are provided in Section 5. In Subsection 5.3 the authors provide examples of hyperbent functions from translation hyperovals in the following Table 5.
