Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(H\) a subgroup of \(G\). In the paper under review, the authors begin a systematic study of the partial representations of \(G\) that restrict to global representations of \(H\). In particular, they take inspiration from the paper [\textit{M. Dokuchaev} et al., J. Algebra 226, No. 1, 505--532 (2000; Zbl 0954.20004)] in which the case \(H=1\) is treated. After adapting several results from [loc. cit.], they develop further an effective theory that allows explicit computations. As a case study, they apply their results to the symmetric group \(\mathfrak{G}_{n}\) and its subgroup \(\mathfrak{S}_{n-1}\) of permutations fixing 1. This provides a natural extension of the classical representation theory of \(\mathfrak{G}_{n}\).
