    An analytic function that is is called holonomic if it is the solution to a holonomic, i.e., maximally overdetermined system of linear homogeneous differential equations with polynomial coefficients. In this paper, the Bernstein-Sato polynomial of a holonomic function on a smooth algebraic variety is studied, as well as the class of \(G\)-finite analytic functions, i.e., functions that generate a finite-dimensional rational \(G\)-module under the action of the Lie algebra of \(G\). When \(G\) is reductive, several representation-theoretic techniques are discussed towards the determination of Bernstein-Sato polynomials of \(G\)-finite functions. Moreover, the Bernstein-Sato polynomials for distinguished \(G\)-finite functions are computed.
