From the abstract: ``We show that Rieffel's quantum Gromov-Hausdorff distance between two compact quantum mentric spaces is not equivalent to the ordinary Gromov-Hausdorff distance applied to the associated state spaces.'' As the authors explain in the introduction, this result is important in view of Connes' recent re-cast of Noncommutative Geometry to operator systems.
