Given Banach spaces \(E\) and \(F\), an open subset \(U\) of \(E\), and \(1\le p\le\infty\), the authors say that a holomorphic function \(f\colon U\to F\) is said to be Cohen strongly \(p\)-summing if there is \(C>0\) such that, given \(x_1,\ldots,x_n\) in \(U\), \(\lambda_1,\ldots,\lambda_n\) in \(\mathbb{C}\), and \(y_1^*,\ldots,y_n^*\) in \(F^*\), \[ \sum_{i=1}^n|\lambda_i||\langle y_i^*,f(x_i)\rangle|\le C\left(\sum_{i=1}^n |\lambda_i|\right)\sup_{y^{**}\in B_{F^{**}}}\left(\max_{1\le i\le n} |y^{**}(y_i^*)|\right) \] when \(p=1\), \[ \sum_{i=1}^n|\lambda_i||\langle y_i^*,f(x_i)\rangle|\le C\left(\sum_{i=1}^n |\lambda_i|^p\right)^{\frac{1}{p}}\sup_{y^{**}\in B_{F^{**}}}\left( \sum_{i=1}^{n}|y^{**}(y_i^*)|^{p^*}\right)^{\frac{1}{p^*}} \] when \(1<p<\infty\), and \[ \sum_{i=1}^n|\lambda_i||\langle y_i^*,f(x_i)\rangle|\le C\left(\max_{1\le i\le n}\lambda_i|\right)\sup_{y^{**}\in B_{F^{**}}}\left( \sum_{i=1}^{n}|y^{**}(y_i^*)|\right) \] when \(p=\infty\). The space of all Cohen strongly \(p\)-summing holomorphic functions from \(U\) into \(F\) is denoted by \(\mathcal{D}_p^{\mathcal{H}^\infty}(U,F)\). Using \(d_p^{\mathcal{H}^\infty}(f)\) to denote the infimum of \(C\) which satisfy the above inequalities, it is shown that \(d_p^{\mathcal{H}^\infty}\) defines a norm on \(\mathcal{D}_p^{\mathcal{H}_\infty}\) under which \(\left(\mathcal{D}_p^{\mathcal{H}_\infty}, d_p^{\mathcal{H}^\infty}\right)\) becomes an ideal of bounded holomorphic functions. \textit{J. Mujica} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 324, No. 2, 867--887 (1991; Zbl 0747.46038)] showed that given \(U\), an open subset of a Banach space \(E\), there is a Banach space \(G^\infty(U)\) and a bounded holomorphic function \(\delta_U \colon U\to G^\infty(U)\) with the following universal property: Given any Banach space \(F\) and any bounded holomorphic function \(f\colon U\to F\), there is a continuous linear mapping \(T_f\colon G^\infty(U)\to F\) such that \(f(x)=T_f\circ \delta_U(x)\) for all \(x\) in \(U\). The authors show that \(\left(\mathcal{D}_p^{\mathcal{H}_\infty}(U,F^*), d_p^{\mathcal{H}^\infty}\right)\) is isometrically isomorphic to \(\left(G^\infty(U){\widehat\otimes}_{g_p}F\right)^*\) where \(g_p\) is the left \(p\)-Chevet-Saphar norm defined on \(E\otimes F\) by \[ g_p(u)=\inf\left\{\|(x_1,\ldots,x_n\|_{\ell_p^n(E)}\|(y_1,\ldots,y_n\|_{ \ell_{p^*}^{n,w}(F)}\right\} \] with the infimum taken over all representation \(\sum_{i=1}^n x_i\otimes y_i\) of \(u\). In addition, it is shown that \(f\colon U\to F\) is a Cohen strongly \(p\)-summing holomorphic function if and only if \(T_f\colon G^\infty(U)\to F\) is strongly \(p\)-summing. The paper concludes with a Pietsch factorization theorem for Cohen strongly \(p\)-summing holomorphic functions.
