Let \(G\) be a reductive group and let \(M\) denote a quaternionic representation of \(G\). Associated to the pair \((G, M)\), physicists have defined a \(3\)-dimensional \(\mathcal{N} = 4\) gauge theory. One interesting invariant of the theory is its moduli space of vacua, which is a union of hyperKähler manifolds. It has been an open question on how to compute the ring of algebraic functions on a certain irreducible component of this moduli space, known as the Coulomb branch. \textit{A. Braverman} et al. [Adv. Theor. Math. Phys. 22, No. 5, 1071--1147 (2018; Zbl 1479.81043)] solved this problem completely under the assumption that \(M \) admits a \(G\)-invariant Lagrangian splitting \(M = N \oplus N^*\) and using symplectic duality. The coordinate ring of this Coulomb branch is defined as a convolution algebra, using a vector bundle over the affine Grassmannian of \(G\). This vector bundle over the affine Grassmannian maps to the space of loops in the representation \(N\). J. Hilburn, J. Kamnitzer, and A. Weekes study the fibers of these maps, which live in the affine Grassmannian. They use these BFN Springer fibers to construct modules for (quantized) Coulomb branch algebras. These modules naturally correspond to boundary conditions for the corresponding gauge theory.
