Let \((t(m))_{m\geq 0}\) be Thue-Morse sequence. Using the Mahler functional equation in 1929 \textit{K. Mahler} [Doc. Math., Extra Volume, 191--216 (2019; Zbl 1465.11005)] proved that the real number \[\sum_{m=0}^{\infty}\frac{t(m)}{b^{m+1}} \] is transcendental. This theorem has several generatizations. \par Let \((t(m^{2}))_{m\geq 0}=(s(m))_{m \geq 0}\). Recently \textit{E. Miyanohara} [Acta Math. Hung. 170, No. 1, 430--435 (2023; Zbl 07722716)] proved under the subspace Lang conjecture that the real number \[\sum_{m=0}^{\infty}\frac{s(m)}{b^{m+1}} \] is transcendental. In this paper, an unconditional arithmetical property of a certain special value of the generating function of \((s(m))_{m \geq 0}\) is given as follows: Let \(\beta >2\) be a Pisot or Salem number and let \[\zeta = \sum_{m=0}^{\infty}\frac{s(m)}{\beta^{m+1}}. \] Then the real number \(\zeta\) does not belong to \(\mathbb{Q}(\beta).\)
