The authors consider a boundary value problem for the following system of Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations with degenerate kernels: \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=A(t)x+\varphi_1(t)\int\limits_0^t\psi_1(s)x(s)ds +\varphi_2(t) \int\limits_0^T\psi_2(s)x(s)ds+f(t), \] with \(x\in\mathbb R^n, \, t\in(0,T)\) and \[ Bx(0)+Cx(T)=d,\qquad d\in\mathbb R^n, \] where \(A(t),\varphi_1(t),\varphi_2(t),\psi_1(t),\psi_2(t),f(t)\) are continuous functions on \([0,T].\) For their study, they introduce an auxiliary problem with parameter \(\lambda\) by defining \(x(t)=u(t)-\lambda\). They find sufficient conditions under which the considered boundary value problem has a unique continuously differentiable solution \(x(t).\) A numerical method for solving it is discussed too.
