The purpose of the authors is to provide an isoperimetric-type inequality for the \(L_2\)-norm of the normal derivative of \(u_{q,\Omega}\), the \(L_q\)-normalized minimizer associated to: \[\lambda_q(\Omega)=\inf_{u\in C_0^\infty(\Omega)\setminus\{0\}}\left(\frac{\|\nabla u\|_{L_2(\Omega)}^2}{\|u\|_{L_q(\Omega)}^2}\right),\] where \(q\in [1,2]\) and \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^d\) is a non-empty bounded open set endowed with Lipschitz boundary. To be precise, they state that \[\int_{\partial\Omega}\left[\frac{\partial u_{q,\Omega}}{\partial\nu}\right]^2d\mathcal{H}^{d-1}(x)\ge \frac{[\lambda_q(\Omega)]^{1+\alpha_q}}{\alpha_q[\lambda_q(\mathbb B_1)]^{\alpha_q}},\] where \(\mathbb B_1\) is the unit ball, \(\alpha_q\) is an explicit constant depending on \(d,q\) and \(d\mathcal{H}^{d-1}\) represents integration with respect to the \((d-1)\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure (Theorem 1.1). The proof of this latter theorem is essentially based on Brunn-Minkowski inequality for \(\lambda_q(\Omega)\) and the computation of the derivative of the function \(\lambda_q(\Omega+t\mathbb B_1)\) at \(t=0\).
