The author studies action of the pseudo-differential operator \(T_{\sigma}\) \[ T_{\sigma}f(x)=\frac{1}{(2\pi)^{n/2}}\int\limits_{\mathbb R^n}\sigma(x,\xi)\hat f(\xi)e^{ix\cdot\xi}d\xi,~~~x\in\mathbb R^n,~~~f\in{\mathscr{G}}(\mathbb R^n), \] with the symbol \(\sigma(x,\xi)\) from Hörmander class \(S^b_{\rho}(\mathbb R^n\times\mathbb R^n), b\in\mathbb R, \rho\in[0;1],\) such that \(\sigma\in C^{\infty}(\mathbb R^n\times\mathbb R^n)\) and \[ \max\limits_{\begin{smallmatrix}|k|\leq N\\ |m|\leq M\end{smallmatrix}} \sup\limits_{x,\xi\in\mathbb R^n}\langle\xi\rangle^{\rho|k|-b}|\partial^{k}_{\xi}\partial^{m}_{x}\sigma(x,\xi)|<\infty \] for all \(M,N\in\mathbb N\); \(\langle\xi\rangle=(1+|\xi|^2)^{1/2}\), \(\hat f\) denotes the Fourier transform of \(f\). New spaces which the author uses are so called mixed norm \(\alpha\)-modulated spaces \(M^{s,\alpha}_{\vec p,q}(\mathbb R^n)\) [\textit{G. Cleanthous} and \textit{A. G. Georgiadis}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 373, No. 5, 3323--3356 (2020; Zbl 1436.42031)]. This space consists of tempered distributions \(f\in S'(\mathbb R^n)\) with finite norm \[ \|f\|_{M^{s,\alpha}_{\vec p,q}(\mathbb R^n)}=\left(\sum\limits_{k\in\mathbb Z^n\setminus\{0\}}\langle\xi_k\rangle^{qs}\|{\mathscr F}^{-1}(\psi_k{\mathscr F}f)\|^q_{L_{\vec p}(\mathbb R^n)}\right)^{1/q},\tag{1} \] where \(\vec p=(p_1,\dots ,p_n)\in(0,+\infty)^n\) and for \(g:\mathbb R^n\rightarrow\mathbb C\) \[ \|g\|_{L_{\vec p}(\mathbb R^n)}=\Bigl(\int_{\mathbb R}\dots \Bigl(\int_{\mathbb R}\Bigl(\int_{\mathbb R}|f(x_1,\dots ,x_n)|^{p_1}dx_1\Bigr)^{p_2/p_1}dx_2\Bigr)^{p_3/p_2}\dots dx_n\Bigr)^{1/p_n}. \] Parameters in the norm (1) are chosen in a special way. Vectors \(\{\xi_k\}_{k\in\mathbb Z^n\setminus\{0\}}\) and functions \(\{\psi_k\}_{k\in\mathbb Z^n\setminus\{0\}}\subset\mathscr G(\mathbb R^n)\) are related to the special \(\alpha\)-covering of \(\mathbb R^n\) and \(\vec p\)-partition of unity; the parameter \(\alpha\) regulates the size of covering elements.. Main result of the paper asserts that operator extends to bounded operator \[ T_{\sigma}: M^{s,\alpha}_{\vec p,q}(\mathbb R^n)\rightarrow M^{s-b,\alpha}_{\vec p,q}(\mathbb R^n) \] for \(s\in\mathbb R, 0\leq\alpha\leq\rho\leq 1, q\in(0.\infty)\). Hypoelliptic symbols are considered also in the paper.
