Ruled singular minimal surfaces (Q6141368)

The paper is concerned with the classification of singular minimal surfaces. In the first part the authors give some basic concepts and results of immersed surfaces in Euclidean and Lorentzian spaces that are used in the rest of the paper. In the second part the authors study singular minimal surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\); They prove that the only ruled singular minimal surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\) are planes and \(\alpha\)-catenary cylinders. In the last part, the authors consider the spacelike ruled (and non-planar) surfaces \(M^{2}\) in Lorentzian space. They prove that if \(M^{2}\) is an \(\alpha\)-singular maximal surface, then it is cylindrical.
