The classification of finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebras and the foundations of their representation theory was established by V. Kac. The representation theory of Lie superalgebras has been known to be more complicated than that of Lie algebras. The Lie superalgebras of types \(P\) and \(Q\) are especially interesting due to the algebraic, geometric, and combinatorial properties of their representations. The present authors study highest weight representations of the quantized enveloping superalgebra \(U_q(\mathfrak{p}_n)\) of type \(P\). They introduce a Drinfeld-Jimbo representation and establish a triangular-decomposition of \(U_q(\mathfrak{p}_n)\). They explain how to relate modules over \(U_q(\mathfrak{p}_n)\) to modules over the Lie superalgebra \(\mathfrak{p}_n\), and then prove that the category of tensor modules over \(U_q(\mathfrak{p}_n)\) is not semisimple.
