On an \(n\)-dimensional complete Riemannian manifold \((M^n,g)\), the authors study gradient estimates for positive weak solutions of \(\Delta_pu+au^\sigma=0\) with \(p>1\) and \(a,\sigma\) are two nonzero real constants. To be precise, by assuming that the Ricci curvature associated to the manifold is lower bounded by \(-(n-1)K\) for some positive constant \(K\), and imposing meaningful conditions on \(\sigma\), they state that on the geodesic ball of center \(x_0\in M^n\) and of radius \(\frac{R}{2}\), we have \[ \frac{|\nabla u|}{u}\lesssim_{p,n,\sigma}\left(\frac{1+R\sqrt{K}}{R}\right)^{p/2}. \] The proof is based on employing the Morser iteration technique.
