The author writes: ``We construct a new Eisenstein cocycle, called the Shintani-Barnes cocycle, which specializes in a uniform way to the values of the zeta functions of general number fields at positive integers.'' ``[M]any different kinds of Eisenstein cocycles have been constructed and studied [...]. However, the number fields previously treated are basically limited to totally real fields or totally imaginary fields. The aim of this paper is to propose a new formulation in which we can treat all number fields in a uniform way.'' The author constructs his ``Shintani-Barnes cocycles'' making use of a method originated in the work of \textit{T. Shintani} [J. Fac. Sci., Univ. Tokyo, Sect. I A 23, 393--417 (1976; Zbl 0349.12007)]. His construction is phrased, however, in the language of an equivariant sheaf cohomology. The author writes: ``The idea of using the Barnes zeta functions is based on the work of \textit{M. Vlasenko} and \textit{D. Zagier} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 679, 23--64 (2013; Zbl 1276.11183)] [...], and the idea of constructing the Shintani cocycle as a Čech cocycle of an equivariant sheaf is based on the work of \textit{K. Bannai} et al. [Trans. Am. Math. Soc., Ser. B 10, 613--635 (2023; Zbl 07687336)] [...]. Moreover, the concept of the \(Q\)-exponential pertubation is a slight modification of the \(Q\)-perturbation studied by \textit{P. Charollois} et al. [Comment. Math. Helv. 90, No. 2, 435--477 (2015; Zbl 1326.11072)] and \textit{S. Yamamoto} [Math. Ann. 346, No. 2, 449--476 (2010; Zbl 1223.11137)]. [...] These three ideas are the main ingredients in this paper which enable us to deal with general number fields.''
