The present paper aims to provide a supplementary result on a degenerate reaction-diffusion host-pathogen model in [\textit{J. Wang} and \textit{B. Dai}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 514, No. 2, Article ID 126322, 32 p. (2022; Zbl 1492.92121)], which is to show the global stability of disease-free steady state for a degenerate reaction-diffusion host-pathogen model with spatial heterogeneity when the basic reproduction number is equal to one.
