Construction of quaternary Hermitian LCD codes (Q6159453)

The author investigates Hermitian LCD \([n,k]\) codes over the finite field \(\mathbb{F}_q,\) where \(q\) is a prime power. Using the Hermitian inner product, we can define Hermitian dual codes and self-orthogonal codes. The Hermitian hull of a code is the intersection of the code and its Hermitian dual. Hermitian LCD codes are minimum with respect to the dimension of the Hermitian hull. The author introduces a construction method for Hermitian LCD codes from a given Hermitian LCD code, which preserves the dimension of the Hermitian hull. This construction method is described in Section 3. In Section 4, the author investigates punctured codes and shortened codes of quaternary Hermitian LCD codes. In Section 5, the author gives optimal quaternary Hermitian LCD codes for codelength \(n\) with \(26\leq n \leq 30.\)
