In the paper, new oscillation results for the second order nonlinear delay dynamic equation of the form \[ (r(t)[z^{\Delta}(t)]^{\alpha})^{\Delta}+q(t)z^{\nu}(\omega(t))=0;\qquad t\in{\mathbb T}_0, \] where \({\mathbb T}_0=[t_0,\infty)\cap{\mathbb T}\), and it is supposed the following conditions to hold: \begin{itemize} \item \(\alpha\) and \(\nu\) are the ratios of positive odd integers, \(\omega\in\mathrm{C}_{\mathrm{rd}}({\mathbb T}_0,{\mathbb T})\) such that \(\omega(t)\leq t\) and \(\omega(t)\to\infty\) as \(t\to\infty\); \item \(r\), \(q\in\mathrm{C}_{\mathrm{rd}}({\mathbb T}_0,{\mathbb R}_+)\); \(q(t)\not\equiv0\). \end{itemize} There are derived new monotonic properties of the nonoscillatory solutions under the assumption that \[ \pi(t)=\int_{t_0}^tr^{-1/\alpha}(s)\Delta s\to\infty\text{ as }t\to\infty. \] Obtained results are used to linearize the considered equation, and some illustrative examples are given to emphasize the main results.
