The authors prove that if \((X,d, \mathcal{H}^2)\) is an \(\mathrm{RCD}(\kappa, 2)\) space then \((X, d)\) is an Alexandrov space of curvature \(\geq \kappa\). Here, \(\mathcal{H}^2\) represents the 2-dimensional Hausdorff measure on the metric space \((X, d)\). They also note that this result can be extended to encompass all compact \(\mathrm{RCD}(\kappa, 2)\) spaces \((X,d, \mu)\) with arbitrary measures \(\mu\). Consequently, the obtained result implies that all \(\mathrm{RCD}(\kappa, 2)\) spaces \((X,d, \mathcal{H}^2)\) can be regarded as topological surfaces, potentially with boundaries. Moreover, any \(\mathrm{RCD}(\kappa, 2)\) space \((X,d, \mathcal{H}^2)\) can be viewed as a metric-measure Gromov-Hausdorff limit of a sequence of 2-dimensional smooth Riemannian manifolds with convex boundaries and curvature \(\geq \kappa\). The proof of this result relies on the the canonical uniformization of singular surfaces, as introduced in [\textit{A. Lytchak} and \textit{S. Wenger}, Duke Math. J. 169, No. 4, 761--797 (2020; Zbl 1451.30118)], and Reshetnyak's analytic theory of surfaces with integral curvature bounds [\textit{Yu. G. Reshetnyak}, Itogi Nauki Tekh., Ser. Sovrem. Probl. Mat., Fundam. Napravleniya 70, 7--189 (1989; Zbl 0734.53048)].
