The main point is to study the influence of the presence of a jump in the sought variable u, which requires a different approach to the definition of the solution itself and of the conditions that ensure the existence of the solution in the generalized sense. The most revealing result in this paper is that the asymptotic method of differential inequalities can be successfully used to justify the existence not only of the solutions that differ slightly from the classical ones in the sense of smoothness violations for the second derivatives at finitely many points but also of strong or even generalized solutions, which are described in terms of differential inclusions.
