Fused braids and centralisers of tensor representations of \(U_q(gl_{N})\) (Q6164904)

The authors introduce a generalized algebra that plays the same role for tensor representations of the quantum group \(U_q(gl_N)\) as the Hecke algebra does for the representations of \(V \otimes^n\). This algebra, denoted by \(H_{k,n}(q)\), is used to study the centralizers of these tensor representations. Through this, the authors obtain a formulation of Schur-Weyl duality that generalizes the classic version. In addition to studying the \(H_{k,n}(q)\) structure, the authors explore its representation theory and identify special subalgebras. They also provide conjectures and prove some specific cases towards an algebraic description of \(H_{k,n}(q)\).
