One of the main results (Theorem~4.1) asserts that, if \(\mathcal{X} = (\boldsymbol{x}_n)_{n=1}^\infty\) is a quasi-greedy basis of a super-reflexive Banach space \(\mathbb{X}\), then there is \(q > 1\) such that the weighted Lorentz sequence space \(d_{1,q}(\boldsymbol{w}_u)\) embeds via \(\mathcal{X}\) in \(\mathbb{X}\) (write \(d_{1,q}(\boldsymbol{w}_u) \stackrel{\mathcal{X}}{\hookrightarrow} \mathbb{X}\)), that is, for every sequence \((a_n)_{n=1}^\infty\) from \(d_{1,q}(\boldsymbol{w}_u)\) the series \(\sum_{n=1}^\infty a_n \boldsymbol{x}_n\) converges in \(\mathbb{X}\). Here \(\boldsymbol{w}_u\) is the weight, whose primitive sequence is the fundamental function \(\boldsymbol{\varphi_u} [\mathcal{X},\mathbb{X}]\).
