Let \(G\) be a group and let \(\varphi \in \Aut(G)\), the \(\varphi\)-twisted conjugacy class of \(g\in G\) is the set \([\varphi]_{G}=\{x^{-1}gx^{\varphi} \mid x \in G\}\). The cardinality \(R(\varphi) \in \mathbb{N} \cup \{ \infty \}\) of the set of \(\varphi\)-twisted conjugacy classes of \(G\) is the Reidemeister number of \(G\) and \(G\) has the \(R_{\infty}\)-property if \(R(\varphi)=\infty\) for all automorphisms \(\varphi \in \Aut(G)\). For a group \(G\), the \(R_{\infty}\)-nilpotency degree is the least integer \(c\) such that \(G/\gamma_{c}(G)\) has property \(R_{\infty}\). Let \(n \geq 2\) be an integer with prime decomposition \(n=p_{1}^{k_{1}} \cdot p_{2}^{k_{2}} \cdot \ldots \cdot p_{r}^{k_{r}}\), the \(p_{i}\) being pairwise distinct and \(k_{i} > 0\). The generalized solvable Baumslag-Solitar group \(\Gamma_{n}\) is defined by the presentation \[ \Gamma_{n}=\big \langle a,t_{1}, \ldots, t_{r} \; \big |\, t_{i}t_{j}=t_{j}t_{i}, t_{i}at_{i}^{-1}=a^{p_{i}^{k_{i}}}, i,j \in \{1,2, \ldots, r\} \big \rangle, \] in particular, if \(n= p^{k}\) involves only one prime number, then \(\Gamma_{n}=\mathrm{BS}(1,n)\) is a solvable Baumslag-Solitar group. In the paper under review, the authors compute the \(R_{\infty}\)-nilpotency degree of all generalized solvable Baumslag-Solitar groups \(\Gamma_{n}\). Moreover, they compute the lower central series of \(\Gamma_{n}\), write the nilpotent quotients \(\Gamma_{n,c}=\Gamma_{n}/\gamma_{c+1}(\Gamma_{n})\) as semidirect products of finitely generated abelian groups and classify which invertible integer matrices can be extended to automorphisms of \(\Gamma_{n,c}\).
