Let \((X,\omega)\) be a compact Kähler manifold of dimension \(n\) and let \(T\) be a closed positive current on \(X\). For an irreducible analytic subset \(W\) of dimension \(m\) of \(X\), let \(\mathscr{V}_{T,W}\) be the set of proper maximal (with respect to the inclusion of sets) irreducible analytic subsets \(V\) of \(W\) such that the generic Lelong number \(\nu(T,V)\) of \(T\) along \(V\) is strictly positive. Using the regularization of plurisubharmonic functions by Demailly and the theory of density currents of Dinh-Sibony, the authors prove the following inequality \[ \sum_{V\in\mathscr{V}_{T,W}}\big(\nu(T,V)-\nu(T,W)\big)^{m-\dim V}\mathrm{Vol}(V) \leq c\mathrm{Vol}(W)\|T\|(1+\|T\|)^{m-1}, \] where \(\text{Vol}(V)=\int_V\omega^{\dim V}\) is the volume of \(V\), \(\|T\|\) is the mass of \(T\) and \(c\) is a positive constant depending only on \((X,\omega)\). This yields an upper bound for the volume of a maximal irreducible analytic subset \(V\) of \(W\) on which the ``relative'' generic Lelong number \(\nu(T,V)-\nu(T,W)\) of \(T\) is strictly positive. Note that in these results, the authors are able to give bounds for the volume of \textit{every} maximal Lelong level set, not only for those of maximal dimension.
