Let \(A\) be a commutative unitary ring and \(S\subseteq A\) a multiplicatively closed set. The authors say that an \(A\)-module \(M\) is u-\(S\)-torsion if it is annihilated by some element of \(S\) and that \(A\)-linear maps \(M\stackrel{f}\rightarrow N\stackrel{g}\rightarrow P\) form an u-\(S\)-exact sequence if \((Im(f)+ker(g))/ker(g)\) and \((Im(f)+ker(g))/Im(f)\) are u-\(S\)-torsion modules (prefix u stands for uniform). As a continuation of \textit{X. Zhang} [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 59, No. 3, 643--657 (2022; Zbl 1495.13019)], they study the concepts of u-\(S\)-projective (injective, semisimple) module and u-\(S\)-semisimple ring which are defined accordingly. For instance they show that a module \(P\) is u-\(S\)-projective iff \(Ext^1(P,M)\) is u-\(S\)-torsion for each module \(M\) and that \(A\) is a semisimple ring iff it is u-\((A-m)\)-semisimple for each maximal ideal \(m\).
