Global well-posedness for the thermodynamically refined passively transported nonlinear moisture dynamics with phase changes (Q6174596)

The authors study the global well-posedness of a model for warm clouds. Such model is constituted by balance equations for the phases and a thermodynamic equation. Previous works analyzed similar models, but the novelty of this work is to consider the more relevant physical setting where the authors take into account the different gas constants for dry air and water vapor as well as the different heat capacities for dry air, water vapor and liquid water, which leads to a much stronger coupling of the moisture balances and the thermodynamic equation.
