The authors consider the prescribed mean curvature flow of a non-compact space-like Cauchy hypersurface of bounded geometry in a generalized Robertson-Walker space-time. Three main results are presented: (1) Short-time existence of the flow; (2) Long-time existence of the flow; (3) Convergence of the flow. The outline of the paper is as follows: the geometry of generalized Robertson-Walker space-times and their space-like hypersurfaces is discussed; the parabolic Schauder and Krylov Safonov estimates on manifolds of bounded geometry are reviewed; the Omori-Yau maximum principle on stochastically complete manifolds is used; the evolution equation of the gradient function is derived; the evolution equations for the mean curvature and for the scalar second fundamental form are derived. It is concluded that a space-like prescribed graphical mean curvature flow stays uniformly space-like.
