Using the Faedo-Galerkin approximation, denseness argument, energy functional and the Riemannian geometry method, the authors present sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of strong and weak solutions as well as exponential decay of energy to a class of viscoelastic wave equation with variable coefficients and a delay in nonlinear and nonlocal boundary dissipation.
