Boundary homogenization in domains with randomly oscillating boundary (Q617906)

The authors obtain an averaged (deterministic) Poisson equation and an effective boundary condition for a situation when the microscopic Poisson problem is posed in a domain with randomly placed perforations (the source of randomness comes here from the fact that the rapidly oscillating boundary is a small random perturbation of a fixed hypersurface). It would be extremely interesting (from the point of view of practical applications involving reaction and diffusion in such media) to which extent the working strategy proposed here can be applied in the presence of nonlinearities.
